AmyNCgirl 12 Posted December 7, 2015 I'm in Winston Salem and I've just recently started my journey. I have my psych evaluation on this week and Nut visit in 2weeks. I was given a timeframe of late February or early March. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

My husband works at one of the hospitals he does surgery, and two of his co-workers went to him for their sleeve. They are both so happy, and highly recommended Dr. Bruce. Please Keep me updated, and good luck!
canmarsh 8 Posted December 8, 2015 @@LadyWarren That's great. It was quite the process but I am excited to have the surgery. I had to complete 6 months of nutrition visits, psy eval, sleep study, cardio work up, and upper GI scope. I will keep you posted. Dr. Bruce is very upfront and tells you like it is, which I appreciate.

I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
canmarsh 8 Posted December 9, 2015 Yes, they put you to sleep. It's a lighter anesthetic though. At first I hated the idea of the 6 months, but now that they are passed (and it went by fast)- I am glad for them. It not only helped me plan and understand further, but I also got to know the PA Sarah better and loved her.
