I have my first consultation with the surgeon at St. Joseph's this Thursday, May 12. I also have BCBSIL and I'm hoping to have my surgery date sometime while my son is out of town from June 15-July 24. This gives me hope that it could happen!

I have BCBSIL as well and that is my fear that I will get denied because I don't have a blue distinction center close to me.

@@charley27 of course you don't have to, however it's better to stick with a blue distinction facility because it will cost you less in copay and coinsurance.
