I also have wide feet and always have, even before I was heavy. I'd been forced to search out extra-wide shoes at my heaviest, but now I'm 90lbs down and finding that regular wides are fine for me now, and sometimes I can go down 1/2 size in length as well.

I had to start wearing men's shoes because of my wide feet, so I'm hoping for some weight loss there as well!

I have been wearing a 7.5 EE for years. I had to shop at specialty shoe stores to find nice work shoes, comfortable vacation shoes and a decent pair of boots.

Last week while out with a friend we stopped into a Famous Footwear and against my better judgement I decided to try on some flats, regular width. The first few pairs were a big fat nope but then I found a couple of Sketchers that have some stretch that fit nicely. I was shocked!

Yesterday I put on my trusty ol' Propet Mary Jane's that were never "tight" but fit snug. I noticed they were rubbing my heel and needed to be tightened with the straps. I also noticed that my foot appears smaller in them than before surgery.

OMG ! i thought it was just me ! I went from a size 15 @ 378 lbs. to size 12 @ 165 lbs. !!!! Fat ankles and feet spreading out when you're heavy is what I believe is why. My hat size shrunk too ! :)

Fat knows no boundaries.. Lose enough of it and of course your shoe size will decrease along with your waist size. Notice that your rings are too loose now? Bracelets and watch bands are looser? Notice that the pendant hanging from the chain around your neck now hangs lower? That, when you shopped for new, leather gloves for this winter, you needed a smaller size?

OMG ! i thought it was just me !... My hat size shrunk too !

Sorry, you'll have to find another way to be unique.

Smaller hat? Surely you've noticed your increased intelligence?

I went from a 8 1/2 wide to a size 8 medium AND I can wear tall boots, with or without the zipper!!! Necklaces do fit much better and I don't feel like I'm choking.

Yep, I just had to buy new shoes yesterday. 10.5 (or 11, since 10.5 is virtually non-existent) to a 10 so far.

My feet have gone down a little but nothing too crazy where I haven't had to buy new shoes or anything.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
