Fiesty, I am packed, but that does not stop me from going through the bag daily to see if there is something I left out or need to take out. Since I am traveling, I want to pack light. And yesterday I just kept sizing up two different bags to see which one was smaller or lighter since it will be carry on.

I'm packed I packed for me and my husband enough for 2 days just incase ???? now I'm getting my house ready finishing laundry(which with 5 kids is never ending) and cleaning everything so it will be ready for me when I come home, the 14 yr old has helped tremendously with that!!!

Awesome Ritchey, don't you just love how helpful kids can be sometimes. I got up this morning, ran an errand then thought I was going to pull weeds in the backyard....pfffft I only got half way before stopping. That chore will remain undone. Maybe I can convince the kiddos to do it, have a paid contest on who can make the biggest pile of weeds ; >

So it's Wednesday! I will be flying out tomorrow afternoon, excited, nervous, etc. etc. But ready to get it over with.

I do have one issue, with all this liquid I take in, I cannot stay out of the restroom. I literally have to pee all the time. Is that why I have lost 11 pounds in 3 days, mostly Water weight...gosh!

Mia,wishing you safe travels :) glad to see someones on track with no time left because even after posting yesterday about not being packed i never did get off my butt to do any packing.Ritcheycop,Mad respect for you!!!! I have 3 and don't think there is any way I could handle any more.luckily your 14 year old is helping lots. I was horrible in raising these monstarz and have never made them do many chores so now they are lost when i ask them to help.

11 pounds in 3 days,WOW congrats .I am 2 days shy of 2 weeks and have only dropped 12 pounds.but have lost 41 lbs since my dr. said she would refer me to the obesity clinic. I have a friend that came to stay with me during this time and i'm so ready to drop the friendship and never speak to her again. (she is obese as well) but she basically stays in the kitchen snacking and eating all day. mess mess and more mess. and to top it all off she says shes starving and i have had to take her to mcdonald's 5 times :( luckily i haven't broke my diet not even once.I have been cooking healthy lean meals and she keeps coming in my kitchen cooking junk, chips and drinking sodas and still even though shes eating 12 times a day she talks about food constantly. I can't take it much longer!!! I think my frustration with her is driving me mad. yesterday I missed my 14 year old banquet for football :( it just totally slipped my mind and his . sorry for venting I'm just annoyed

Fiesty, you have every right to vent, and if not here then where. Just keep the strength you have and come Friday, none of it will matter. I will say this though, your friend is your friend and probably has been the way she is acting for a while. Because we are conscious of it does not mean it wasn't always there. Of course I don't know the situation so I am just saying. You do this for you and can be an example for her.

Thanks yes mine have always had chores!! And I agree with Mia be an example maybe your friend will change their ways of not then you have to do for you! You don't want to break what you have worked so hard for and if they can't understand that then they aren't truly your friend.... Sorry your having to go through that! It is hard my kids eat a little different than what I do sometimes as well because well they are kids but they have enough respect for me to go in another room!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
