Stalled out and need a restart

Recommended Posts

So I had my gastric bypass surgery almost 5 years ago. I did really well the first 2 years and lost 70lbs. Then I injured my foot and couldn't go to the gym and do the exercising I had been. I had surgery on my foot and ankle 5 months ago and so I have to watch what I do with it. I sincerely want to get back into the gym and get back on my joruney. I've put back on 25 lbs due to inactivity and poor eating choices. I need to get back on track and get a good restart. Looking for suggestions to rapidly restart my system into the loss. I'm going back to the gym beginning next week and will do everything I can within moderation and push myself to strengthen my ankle and foot as I go.

So let your suggestions begin to get my loss on the fast track again....

And thank you in advance.

Jenn

I suggest you make an appointment with your NUT and go back to basics.

Focus on getting in all of your Protein and Water every day. Are you tracking your food. If not, start tracking so you know that you are meeting your Protein target.

It's never too late to start over.

Embrace the Stall!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
