TMM 6 Posted November 4, 2015 Have you noticed providers giving you support along the way? I had my first visit at the biariatric office last week Thursdsy where I was told I met the criteria for the surgery and to start getting things done on the to do list. I am blown away with how great all the offices and providers have been to help speed up the process when I tell them I am doing the WLS. Psych was willing to meet me this Sat at 7:00 a.m. with a follow up in two weeks, again on a Saturday. I had my appointment this morning already with a new GP I haven't seen before (due to insurance), and she said she would have the report sent in a week. She even put a rush on the sleep study. At this rate I will have everything done in 3 weeks except the last NUT!
perforce 243 Posted November 5, 2015 That's good of them. It is a profitable business with competition so it's important to give good service
tmcx28 297 Posted November 5, 2015 I was actually shocked. I expected my PCP to give me trouble but when I went in she was very happy for me and wrote my letter right there on the spot. My surgeons staff has also been incredible. I can email any one of them with a question and they get back to me within 10 minutes. ALL of my appointments were scheduled out in advance so I knew ahead of time. I'm very glad I chose this program. Even the hospital staff and nurses were fantastic when I went in for my endoscopy. It really eases my nerves.
