karen091866 120 Posted November 4, 2015 I am scheduled for surgery 11/19/15 and my surgeon has informed me that I will have a PCA (patient- controlled analgesia) pump afterwards..so I can manage my own post-op pain. Some insurances do not cover PCA... That may be the pump / detail that is causing a glitch. Just a thought...
freemommy×4 65 Posted November 5, 2015 My insurance coordinator called. She said not to worry about the pump (the same thing @@reree6898 mentioned), she said Aetna didn't approve it because they are not a facility and didn't have the code they wanted, but that it will be resubmitted the day of surgery by the hospital and will be approved. So the great news is I am approved and my surgery date is Dec 8th!!!!!! Whoooo hoooo!!!!
