RioNan 3 Posted November 2, 2015 Hello - I completed all of my preop requirements about three weeks ago, had my appointment with my surgeon last Friday and was scheduled for surgery on Nov 17. I'll start my preop diet tomorrow Nov 3. Mine will consist of no more than 30 carbs per day and it will be low fat but I can have a big variety of meals as long as I keep the carbs under 30. pammy0425 2 Posted November 3, 2015 Hi Ihnan, I'm also scheduled for the 17th @ 730AM. Start my pre-op tomorrow. I'm ready to get everything over with. I'm feeling anxious about everything . How's your state of mind?
RioNan 3 Posted November 4, 2015 @@pammy0425 Hi Pammy - I'm not really nervous...yet! My preop diet sounds a lot easier than a lot I've read - no more than 30 grams of carbs per day and at least 60 grams of Protein so I can have real food at all three meals and/or supplement with Protein Drinks. Keeping under 30 carbs is, uh, challenging! I'm with you about getting everything over with. Where are you having your surgery? Mine will be in Austin same day as yours but not until 3:30 in the afternoon. That will be a long day.
pammy0425 2 Posted November 4, 2015 Hi Ihnan, My surgery will be in Columbia, SC. I wish I had your pre-op diet. 1 Protein shake at Breakfast and 1 at lunch and a sensible dinner. A Protein snack in the AM and a piece of fruit in the afternoon. ????????
