glitterpockets 85 Posted November 2, 2015 I'm pre-op, but curious as to what I'll do post-op if I get sick? I'm currently down with a cold and all I can do is eat crackers, sip ginger ale, and blow my nose. I'm sitting around thinking after surgery (January) I won't be allowed crackers or soda, so what do we do? I apologize if I sound stupid, especially if I'm looking over something obvious but I'm truly curious (and very tired).
magtart 603 Posted November 2, 2015 Crackers and ginger ale sounds more like morning sickness relief to me. I lean toward some hot Soup for a cold.
glitterpockets 85 Posted November 2, 2015 I'm definitely not pregnant lol I just had my EGD Friday and it requires a urine test to check. I can't keep anything down. Not even Soup.
Yaberhoo 358 Posted November 2, 2015 I do ginger ale or more likely 7up when sick, well prior to surgery. After? Well, chicken Soup is good for the head cold. Just like everything else, you have to adjust it. I suppose you COULD still do crackers after your all healed up, but it's up to you if the empty calories are worth it. Sometimes you just need that comfort food.
