heath1215 0 Posted July 18, 2007 Hi all! I'm from Minnesota and I'm in the "testing" stage of the pre-op. I have my psych set up, as well as UGI and Pulmonary consult (asthma). I'm currently studying for my boards (just finished nurse practitioner school) and I'm not sure if that's why I'm not concentrating on this as much as I was before, or if I'm having cold feet. It's pretty scary to think about doing this! Ugh! I just wish I knew if it was the right decision! :nervous
KtKt 0 Posted July 18, 2007 Hi Heath1215... No one can tell you if this is the right decision or not... keep reading about the procedure, go thru all your testing, ask a ton of questions --- then the answer will come clear for you! This forum has been a GODSEND for me... tons of information, support and personal experiences... I'm in the first stages of the process too... and feel better about my decision every day! You've got a lot on your plate with your boards coming up! BEST WISHES on that one!!! You're doing amazing things for yourself with that too... this is YOUR TIME! heath1215 0 Posted July 18, 2007 Thanks Katie! I think my test is interfering with my ability to focus on many things, including my weight loss journey. I am currently trying to lose some of the weight my surgeon would like me to take off and getting the preop stuff done, so once this darn test is done, I think I'll be excited about it again! I've actually done quite a bit of research and WAS very excited but have gotten bogged down in studying. I think I'll feel better in about two weeks!

pjanes54 0 Posted July 18, 2007 My entire pre-op has taken over 3 months and I still don't have a date; however, I hope to hear from the insurance company by the end of the week. So...there is time...just put this on the back burner a bit and keep your concentration on your exams. PP is right-take your breaks here:) :ranger:
