I start purées on Wednesday. I never in my life thought I'd be so excited to eat purées! I can only imagine at the end of purées phase how excited I'll be to move onto soft food! This full liquid mess is so tasteless and boring! I've already got my meals planned out, lol! My question is would turkey chili be ok to purée? I made a batch to freeze before surgery it's not spicy at all. So I was wondering if that would be ok to purée. And how long did you wait to eat spicy food again?

I tried it. It went down fine, but was a big old pile of mush. Save it for soft foods. (It was listed on my soft food stage).

My nutritionist described pureed as baby food consistency and soft foods as anything that breaks apart easily. chicken pate = puree, chicken salad (sans nuts or celery) = soft food.
