Clear Protein drinks

Syntrax Nectars are good, too. I ordered a sample pack from My bariatric pantry - they even let you choose your own flavors.

I like the Isopure no carb but I only drink the teas or coconut flavors so I can't speak to the fruit flavors. I was given Prosource NoCarb while in the hospital and used it for the first month post-op. It was great mixed in herbal tea.

My surgeon's office had the ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates. I also got them online through Bariatric source. You might also check the new BariatricPal Store.

I got a sample pack of the Syntrax nectar directly from the manufacturer. Drugstore.com also has it by the tub.

Most GNCs and other health-food stores may have what you need, too.

I get the Isopure no carb clear drinks at GNC and or Vitamin Shoppe. Also have them online on various Vitamin places and Amazon but then you have to worry about how they will ship considering they are fragile! Also I Water down the drinks a bit because some taste too sweet to me. I haven't been sleeved yet and they are already sweet so Water works great. Probably could use some diet juice too as long as sugar content is ok. If you do that you can mix and match flavors too. I prefer the fruit flavors to the tea ones but the lemonade one is good too. It's refreshing.

Isopure - GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. ProSource NoCarb I bought online. I think it was MedLine, you may also be able to get it from Amazon. I split the isopure into 3 parts and add to my water bottle. I use 20 & 24 ounce bottles so if I drink one in the morning, one in the afternoon & one in the evening I hit my Fluid goal easily. GNC also has a membership card that gives you discounts so it pretty much pays for itself & they send you coupons from their mailing list. If you buy brick & mortar, save your receipts in case you need to return things you don't like.

I love the liquid concentrate that you add to Water sold at Metabolic Research. 7 packs for around 11 dollars. 15 grams of protien. It helps me get more water in a day too. Kiwi melon, fruit punch, blue raspberry and more flavors too. You do not have to be a customer at Metabolic Research to shop in their supply of high protien foods and drinks. :) I bought all sorts of things there a couple weeks ago and it has helped me alot.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
