Shustar 395 Posted November 3, 2015 @@Elode Good luck with that run! Yesterday was my first day on the liquid diet challenge and I played tennis for an hour and a half, went to work and then did an hour of spin class. Spin class almost killed me! All I could do to just get through it! I am loving this challenge!
sprocket 104 Posted November 3, 2015 Monday was my Day 1 and it went great! It's easy to forget about food while busy at work. Got all my fluids in - felt like I might float away at some points. Today, Day 2, is going just fine so far, but I anticipate this afternoon may be a bit more of a challenge since I'm home all day having work done on my house. I get snack-y at home - the nuts and Jerky call to my brain. I'm determined to persevere though and keep busy with wall painting projects. Also, I learned I need to stay off the scale - Water weighs a lot and nothing pleasant comes of weighing after drinking 32 oz. of water.
sonnysun 15 Posted November 3, 2015 Sorry, in my previous reply I said, "WTG, Ladies!" and I obviously should have been more gender-inclusive! My apologies! That said, I'm intrigued. I did have a pretty lengthy stall when I went from liquid diet to soft foods. I'm wondering if that happens after fasting, as well?

Elode 8,093 Posted November 4, 2015 Well my 5 days are officially up! I'm going to bed soon. I want to thank everyone who joined in and did this with me. I also want to thank the ones who didn't but stopped in to encourage us that were. It been a "different" kind of 5 days to say the least. It hasn't been too hard but willpower is amazing when you actually use it. We will see what tomorrow brings but as far as the 5 days is concerned we kicked it's butt!! Hopefully this is just the kick in the pants I needed. I made a promise to myself that I would never allow myself to go back to the old me. This surgery was a "gift" and I'm not a Indian giver!! I hope you all found some success with this Be bold and be blessed!
mtraverse 327 Posted November 4, 2015 I fell off the wagon yesterday because I was so hungry. Nothing bad just solid food.???? but there are more days and more challenges! Maybe the next one I can stick to it! Great job all!
Elode 8,093 Posted November 4, 2015 There will be more. Today I found out my insurance has approved my orthodontic treatments so I will have a palate expander in December. That would cause me to be on liquids for awhile. It will be put in on December 18th so I may not even have to worry about the holidays. Mixed blessing! KeepCalm 223 Posted November 4, 2015 ohkay - I'm more then sure that this has been asked, but why no straws - for me it makes it easier to sip if I have a straw then without... mind you - i've probably read the answer somewhere else as well, but I don't remember it
