Somebody in the kitchen across from my office is cooking toast!

Aaaahhh, that happened to me recently. My mother-in-law is living with us and had toasted some cinnamon-raisin bread that she's picked up at an Amish market in Lancaster Co. I wanted to cry, it smelled so damn good! I ended up going upstairs where I couldn't smell it. Stay strong!

You are right - I have never been formally introduced to vegemite. Except by way of Men At Work's "Who Can It Be Now." And even then, it was an acquired taste.

Stay strong!

How good are you crazy kids...

And to think, some people have said that there's a lack of support in this place...

And I want some...

That is all...

Is this the same man who only a day ago made a public declaration for all to read?

Toast that tastes bad??

You ladies obviously don't know the pleasures of Vegemite!!!

I am far too American to allow Vegemite to pass my lips.

Agreed, toast is tasty. There are toast-eaters whom you would never suspect of being toast-eaters, such as the chappies in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06hB4oep4XY

If it weren't for the visual, I'd have linked an audio-only version with the accurate lyrics.

It may have come from a genius bakery, but, face it, any cinnamon-raisin bread in a toaster will be devastate the strongest.

Can it really be that the fragrance didn't waft to the second floor? C'mon, you must mean several levels up. Morning coffee and Breakfast aromas wake me when I'm visiting two-story houses.

@WLSResources/ClothingExch

Yes, it's the same guy who made the declaration...

And i've stuck to it...

Want and have are two different things...

And yes, you're too American to try anything different...

I'll certainly not argue with that...

lol Toast is soo yum! and with vegemite or honey or.......its heaven!!

But if there any Chefs on here....You'd know what i go through every day.

Sadly I have to taste and it takes so much will power not to just dig into the food.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
