Vitamins B50 complex

Recommended Posts

I had surgery on October 19th and surprisingly by the grace of God I think I have been doing extremely well except- my two capsules

I was told ahead of time the b50 was nasty and had a horrible taste. How do u take it. It taste horrible like really really bad how can I get it down supposedly too early to swallow capsule and the digestion breakdown hoopla but I need help with that one mainly

My instructions for that Vitamin was to unscrew the capsule and mix in a drink or something and take like a shot. It's horrible and unbearable

Secondly- prevacid capsule is to be open as well and mixed with but the little pebble balls don't dissolve. I can't do the texture

Any help or suggestions

I'm really late on this, just saw it as I was searching "capsules". I would suggest mixing with applesauce and then swallowing small bites like you would swallow a pill. Maybe add cinnamon if you like it and see if you can mask the flavor of the medicine. I'm trying to find out when we can take something in capsule form, like at what stage will the shell of the capsule melt in the pouch. Please let me know if you were able to come up with a solution.

@@Pinkgirl1234 I use the whole line of BariMelts. They just work perfectly for me. I'm wanting to take some herbal supplements and can only find them in capsules. So, trying to find out if capsules will ever be melted in my pouch. I think I'm going to have to mix the powdered herbs in sugar free fat free pudding. Seems like the chocolate would mask the flavor of the herbs. Gotta try something.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
