Thats not all either, I also opened my own pet grooming salon May 25th, and my husband & I bought an acreage this month, that has to totally be developed, we started making a driveway last week. So the sx was just a drop in the bucket, i figured I might as well get every stressfull thing imaginable done at the same time! ha ha

Hey, you are a busy gal!

You have a terrific attitude. Bring it on! CAN DO!! I like that! Be sure to post updates.

I guess I have a quite a lot on my plate (excuse the pun) as well. My hubby and I are moving (he was offered a position in Rosemount)to the Twin Cities area and I have started applying for work there. We have a house in northern MN that we need to sell and so we have been "camping" in our 5th wheel for several months. Never a dull moment, right?

I am new to the boards. I have an appointment with my doctor, just for a formality so I have my weight complaint recorded and ask a couple of questions. I have my seminar scheduled for August. I am glad i did alot of reading here, I had no idea the process took so long- I am glad for the headz-up. I have health Partners and i am preparing for a fight. My BMI is 42. I have tried all the same weight loss tactics as everone plus a hypnotist- very interesting at $100 per hour.

I will only have the band if insurance covers it, I can not affor to pay for it. I have also ordered copies of my medical records for the past couple of years so I am prepared for anything they throw at me.

I am wondering how someone proves they were enrolled in the weight programs. Would I just call and ask for copies? Didn't know they kept them.

Question: Does anyone know if they are required to have 3-6 months of diet programs under thier belt if it has to a six mont hconsecutive period, or it you could have been enrolled in 3 programs but only stayed on for two months each???:kiss2:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
