Is she on at least soft foods? Prior to that, your Protein choices are pretty limited. You can try another brand of Protein shake or another flavor. Cottage cheese, Greek Yogurt and fish are my Protein favorites. I still use my Protein shakes to make sure I am hitting my goal.

She is only 5 days preop. I had mine done on Sept 1 and had no issues. Every suggestion that I have she tries but can't stomach alot of stuff. I don't know what else to suggest.

Have you tried the bariatric pal food store on here? I've been looking at the products and they have broth that has Protein in it I want to say like 15grams per serving. I plan on buying a bunch of this stuff to have for before surgery on my 2 weeks of liquids and then for after. They even had Jello on there that has 15 grams of protein.

I use the GENEPRO Protein Powder from Amazon. You can mix it with the smallest amount of liquid or sf Jello or whatever she can tolerate. It is 30 gr Protein in 1 tablespoon. It is supposed to be odorless and tasteless but i can smell and taste it very faintly.

Maybe the Nectarz Protein Drinks? They are thinner, lighter, and a bit less sweet to me. A lot of people like the peach flavor and the Twisted cherry is pretty good. I add ice cubes after mixing.

Totally agree! I can't really stomach the thicker drinks/shakes. These I mix with Water and are more like drinking juice. Now that I am further out (almost 6 mos) I add an extra scoop of unflavored Protein to it & I can still tolerate the thickness pretty well. I buy mine online at www.nashuanutrition.com
