sorrynomore 18 Posted October 23, 2015 I'm on day 5 post op, and have been drinking tons of Water (about 50 oz) and getting in the 60grams of Protein, and even added 4 oz of yogurt once a day. But I am legit hungry. Does anyone else experience this? I know they say it just means you're thirsty but I'm taking in so much Fluid and my stomach still growls.. Is it just me? Daisee68 2,493 Posted October 23, 2015 Sometimes the hunger feeling is actually acid. Try taking a Zantac or Pepcid. Did wonders for me (and many others here on the boards).
LuckyLady101515 13 Posted October 23, 2015 I was like that on day 5 and 6. I kept trying to figure out how to put a cheeseburger in a blender. I was craving one so bad, but the caving passed after a couple days. I'm on day 8 and I don't have that feeling anymore but I do find when I have a Protein Shake it seems to help with the hunger. I think I heard the Protein is suppose to make you feel fuller longer. Does anyone agree?
sorrynomore 18 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Thanks! I've been taking the omeprazole once a day and I have the Premier Protein shakes that I really like, the are 30 grams of Protein for 11 ounces so I usually drink half at a time and two shakes a day.
