SleeveandRNYchica 1,155 Posted October 28, 2015 30/30 rule. That is what my office teaches. No Drinking 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after. Now they did say if you bite into something really spicy take a small sip but don't make it a habit.
lexiemustang 268 Posted October 28, 2015 @BritishBornBabe. Please follow your Drs orders on drinking. You will get differing opinions. My bariatric team Initially said wait 30 min. After I drink to eat and recently changed it to 15 minutes. However, I am part of a Facebook group for sleevers & many of them say they were told they can drink up to the second before they eat. Still can't figure out why there are so many differences. Initially I was informed not to drink 30 minutes prior to eating. My NUT and I discussed it 3 months out, and she modified the rule, so now she has given the ok to drink up until it is time to eat. I've heard the greater concern is drinking AFTER eating.
