Legs please!

Recommended Posts

This probably goes down as one of the oddest post BUT sometimes you have NSV and never realize that's what it is. I have been crossing my legs for months now (comfortably ) but today we took a picture! Why? Just because I can and it serves as a reminder that not all victories are associated with a number. I showed you mine now show me yours!! (Legs people, legs!!) or just share a NSV if you have one.

@@treblecutie23 Thank you! That's another thing I'm trying to conquer. I'm new to heels too so I practice, now that I can cross my legs I'd like to not break them if at all possible...baby steps!

@@glitter eyes Thank you! It hurts! I don't know if there's some trick to it or what? The only time I ever wear them before was for "dress up" wink, with a side of TMI lol! This leaving the house in them is dangerous stuff still.

Yesterday, I bought:

Misook knit pants - size small

Ann Taylor Loft jacket - size 2 (yes, I know -- vanity sizing ... but, but, but!)

BCBG slim-fit slacks - size 8

Bite me!

@@VSGAnn2014 Geez! You're tearing it up!! Size 2?! Did you ever think that would be possible? I think I would have to drop 25 more lbs to be a 2. I'm a 8 right now.

I've decided I will never play the " I feel/look fat game" that the skinny girls always played. It sounds ridiculous! I'm just going to be happy with "me" size.

LOL! I'm a size 8, too. :)

Unless I'm wearing the vanity-sized clothes from Talbots (size 6) and from Ann Taylor (apparently, a size 2!). Seriously, the clothes from those stores (and banana Republic and some others) are notoriously over-sized.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
