Knitchic 97 Posted November 28, 2015 I have lost about 45 pounds and I am only down one size as well. I expected to be able to wear smaller pants but they are so tight around my stomach. I have lost in my face, legs and butt. I'm sure the rest well come.
Anxious2beme 93 Posted November 29, 2015 I am in the same boost as all you ladies. I have lost 32# in 3'weels which includes my 15 pound loss pre op. I have lost in my face and neck area but haven't lost a clothing size yet. I haven't been measured yet and while I do feel I have lost inches, I am carrying majority of my weight in my stomach and hips. Would love to lose another 20# by Christmas but not sure if that will happen by then. I too feel the weight is coming off slowly, but my NUT says I'm considered a "rapid" weightloss and am at the high end of normal.
hanida 6 Posted December 1, 2015 I have a similar problem. Once I lost 80 lbs and only 2 pant sizes. Once lost 130 lbs and only 4 pant sizes. Super frustrating.
jess9395 5,449 Posted December 1, 2015 HI Everyone! I know people always say inches are more important than lbs etc but man it's frustrating i'm close to my 50lb down mark now (hoping to meet that for my birthday next week!) and obviously i'm pleased so far BUT I've only dropped one dress size, I was a US 18 and now i'm a 16. I only have two pairs of work pants i rotate while going through weight loss and plan to do the same until reach goal, the size 16 ones I have are looking baggy and shabby and i have a conference to go to in a few weeks i need to look smart for. So I rocked up to the shops expecting to be a solid 14 but no... couldn't get a single pair to do up over my stomach need to lose another good 3-4 inchs there to go down a size! I must have just stretched out the (cheap) fabric of my current ones making me think i'd lost a size I was really disappointed. So still a size 16 after nearly 50lb loss and looks like i'll need to lose at least another 10 taking me up to 60lb lose to get there. Anyone else having to lose 30lb+ to lose a single size at my kind of weight? So frustrating those "normal" clothes sizes seem just out of reach and with it the racks of variety! Two things here--first of all as someone said it takes twice the lbs lost to do down a size in plus sizes as it does in straight sizes. Second you are probably trying to move from a 16W to a 14. That's another size difference. If you can find a 16 or a 14W that would be an in between size. But not all stores carry those sizes. A 16W to a 14 is a two size jump. There was a discussion about this when I was at the same stage and that knowledge helped me immensely!
