Everyone loses at different rates. Having patience and faith is a struggle, I know. The weight will come off as long as you're following your plan. :)

Hi @@fharris

My 'trick' has been to stay right away from the scales.

I was sleeved in late Feb this year and have only weighed myself twice in that time..

The first time was apoprox 6 weeks post surgery and the other was maybe six weeks ago (I'm not 100% certain)

I could tell all along that I was losing weight by the way I felt and the way my clothes started to hang off me.

But by not weighing, I've missed out on all the angst re stalls and such things...

I've had a few 'bad' weeks lately, so I've not even thought about weighing in.

On Monday I'll be 'relaunching' my focus on what I consume and will probably leave my next weight check until just before Christmas.

I know this way is not for some (most) people, but it's really worked for me.

Good luck with your new mission...

And keep up the Water and protein!!!

I weigh everyday...sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I am just about 6 months post op. It is frustrating though. If you can help it stay away from the scale. check in once a week or once every other week so you don't get frustrated. I only lost weight about one week a month. I don't change anything I do. I end up losing about 7 to 12 pounds that week to week and a half, but still frustrating. It will come off as long as you are following the plan. Good luck!!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
