Hi all!!! Happy week. I just had to share.

For several years after getting married, I could not wear my ring since my fingers were too fat. Never did tell hubby why at the time - just said I kept forgetting to put it on.

Now, 110 pounds lost and my ring fits so I am back to wearing it daily. Then this morning, I was not paying attention - I put it on the middle finger and it fits perfectly (even without hand lotion). WOW! It was fun.

Anyone else have non-scale wins this week?

My daughter came into my bedroom looking for me this morning. She didn't see me in the bathroom because "your butt doesn't stick way out anymore!". Love it!

I tried on clothes in the normal section of the store and they fit! I nearly cried.

My underwear are too big! Lol!! You think about the clothes getting too big, but when your underwear are falling down in your baggy jeans, you remember them too!!

I went to the park with my kids and thought I'd try out the swing. I fit and had a great time swinging!

Went to a Halloween costume party this weekend. Was able to buy and adult costume out of the store and it actually fit. Its the smallest things that seem to count a lot.

I am far from having some of the great wins you guys have as I am only 10 days post op. But waking up in the morning with clear skin, no pimples popping up out of nowhere due to messy hormones and bad eating habits. My skin used to be oily but lo and behold 10 days out and it cleared up.

Ray92...lucky! I am breaking out more now than I have since my late teens and early twenties! Thankfully nowhere near as bad. My hormones have gone bananas with this weight loss and in some ways it's like a second adolescence. But I can deal with it...small price to pay to be fit and healthy!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
