Clairabellleee 0 Posted July 16, 2007 I'm 4 days post-op and my doctor allows creamy Soups on the 4th day...so I whipped up some Bear Creek Broccoli and cheese Soup and had some today along with water/V-8 fruit juice. Even though my doctor allows it already, am I moving too fast? I'm worried that I'll make my band slip or something. What exactly WILL make the band slip? I'm so worried that I'll do something wrong and mess something up :help:
captain danbo 0 Posted July 16, 2007 My doc let me go to full liquids the very next day. I drank alot of V8 and a bunch of Tomato Soup. I think if you make sure there is not any chunks of veggie or anything like that you will be ok. I would just take it slow.

longtimecomin 0 Posted July 16, 2007 Hey, Clair... I'm on day 4 post op as well. I was shocked when Dr. G told me I could go right to the puree/soft as long as it was all pureed well. I have been very careful but have been nervous about it, too. I'm sure you are doing fine, just keep up the good work. I'm having lots of luck with the Stage 2 baby food veggies. travelgirl 3 Posted July 16, 2007 If you have any cream of ____ Soups that have chunks in them, you can zizz them up with a stick blender, ($10 or $12 at Wal-mart) and go for it! (lots of people have gotten those Magic Bullets, but at $60, I prefer the stick blenders, they do very nicely, thank you!) Just do as your doc told you, and you'll be just fine! longtimecomin 0 Posted July 16, 2007 Travelgirl, I'm with you. The hand blender is a miracle for me. So easy to use and clean. I puree everything with it, and use it for my Protein Drinks. I'm still finding I have to get most of my Protein through the drinks.< /p>
juliegeraci 7 Posted July 16, 2007 Claira, you can have anything that fits through a straw. Creamy Soups will keep you satisfied so don't be afraid to enjoy them.
longtimecomin 0 Posted July 17, 2007 What about feeling lightheaded? Is that fairly normal for 4-5 days post op? I'm afraid I'm not getting enough calories but I'm eating til I'm full.
Big Wave Dave 0 Posted July 17, 2007 Try getting your Protein Levels up when I get to feeling that way I have a Protein Shake and it helps. Take care Aloha
