donnamarie_RNY 8 Posted October 19, 2015 I'm currently on day 6/14 of my pre-op liquid diet. Curious as to how much weight people lost on their liquid diet before surgery and how long did your surgeon require you to be on that diet? I'm currently down 13 lbs from day 1. It's pretty much one of the only things that keeps me strong throughout the day.

pmanley 45 Posted October 19, 2015 I am almost over my 2 week pre-diet and I have lost 15 lbs required by my doctor...however the scale that I have to weigh in on Thursday has me only losing 7 so not sure how that is going to work....guess i will have to see and I still have a couple more days so hopefully that scale will go down a few more lbs especially after the colon cleanse I need to do day before. The Candidate 3,215 Posted October 19, 2015 I only had to be on a one day liquid diet, and amazingly lost 3 lbs. But I was also required to lose 10% of my beginning body weight during my six months of classes.

I'm nervous my doctor's scale will also read differently! I'm required to lose 10lbs and I'm hoping to get below 300 before surgery. Only 2lbs to go!! Good luck to you and your surgery! What day is it scheduled for? I only had to be on a one day liquid diet, and amazingly lost 3 lbs. But I was also required to lose 10% of my beginning body weight during my six months of classes. Lucky! The liquid diet has been a struggle for me. I didn't have classes beforehand though.

I've picked up a lot of extra hours since I'll be out till December 1st. Hoping to lose some more weight before surgery! Still have a week to go. I was on a 2 week Optifast diet, I lost 16 pounds. Awesome! When was your surgery?
