Heather Birdwell 57 Posted October 18, 2015 Hey everyone. I am almost 5 months out of surgery. My surgery went super smooth with very little complication. However today, I am sick as a dog. I have picked up a stomach bug from somewhere and have been struggling with nausea and diarrhea all day. I am super dehydrated and have called my surgeon and he said to monitor it and if it gets too bad to go to the ER and have some fluids done IV. I am struggling with getting enough fluids in and everything seems to be going right through. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Anyone else been here? Thanks in advance. AngelaWilliamsMD 290 Posted October 19, 2015 If there is any question abou the situation, then go to the ER and get checked out by a physician ASAP. Let them be the ones who decide if you need to be there or not.
