Tssiemer1 549 Posted October 18, 2015 I'm pre pre op diet. I've been trying really hard to make the healthy changes now. Right now I have such a craving for chocolate. I read some where a craving only lasts 19 minutes but this has lasted a few hours! Someone tell me awful things will happen if I give in. I even had a chocolate Protein Shake but that didn't help. BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted October 18, 2015 Don't give in! You can do this, I know you can. Drink Water until you float, go for a walk, post on twitter, watch a funny cartoon. Do anything but break your pre-op diet. FYI - Buy some cacao or cocoa powder. I find when I have a chocolate craving it help to punch up the Protein drinks with a bit of that for that real chocolate taste.
Heather Feather 35 Posted October 18, 2015 I feel your pain. I'm 4 days into my pre-op diet, but it's getting better. I curb the chocolate cravings by having chocolate Protein Shakes and sugar-free chocolate pudding. There's always a way!YOU CAN DO THIS!
Dub 9,922 Posted October 19, 2015 Ask yourself how bad you really want this surgery? Ask yourself why losing weight is important to you? Ask yourself if you understand the pre-op diet is for your safety. Compromising it can be dangerous. You are about to have significant internal surgery. Do I really want to jeopardize it ? Ask yourself if you are truly ready ? You've got this. Through all the candy in the trash to avoid temptation. The rest of the family will just have to understand.
