Saeed 1 Posted October 17, 2015 My wife is 20 days out post Op and all of a sudden, she's having huge acid reflux issues. She's into her third week and we feel like we can't introduce the the next stage of the diet plan given to us by the doctor. I'm concerned she won't be able to eat and even thought she's taking nexuim twice a day (80g), this is not helping the acid reflux. Would be grateful if anyone can offer any advice of the causes or what foods to avoid, would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance

Saeed 1 Posted October 18, 2015 Thank you so much for all your help. I made the mistake of giving her lemon drink and coffee in this past week, prior to this, acid was never an issue, so based on your kind advice, we will avoid all the things mentioned. smallbmi 41 Posted October 18, 2015 Also avoid chin to chest - playing on phone or iPad for more than 10 minutes at a time and avoid laying down after eating - if she is getting acid feeling in throat. I take prescription and I still suffer , I am eating but need to be careful of bite sizes chewing and texture on top of avoiding all the citric , acid foods , so now I take Pickle Juice Zantac and my PPI - some days are better than others and a I am patiently waiting for this to be over
