kandahk 0 Posted October 17, 2015 Please help! It's been about 3 weeks since my gastric sleeve and hernia repair. Almost Everytime I eat I get a sharp shooting pain in my left shoulder it's almost unbearable ... Any suggestions why this happens? I chew my food thoroughly and and on soft foods currently. sbg224 318 Posted October 17, 2015 Yes I had it too, and now sometimes I still get it, 8 weeks out. Doc said it is unusual but common and not to worry about it. It happens when I eat and get full.

Dub 9,922 Posted October 17, 2015 You have to figure that a lot of nerves and tissue were moved around during surgery. Pressure on a nerve in one location could result in sensations in completely different locations. Definitely bring this to your surgeon's attention. Best wishes for you on your weight loss and progress.
