Sending request for approval to bcbsnc

My surgeons office should be sending my request for wls today. They told me that bcbsnc by law has 30 days to respond that is a really long time to approve or deny my surgery. I will be calling bcbs today to make sure they recieved my paperwork. Please wish me luck.

Good Luck mine was submitted last Thursday and I have BCBS AL and have not heard yet

I called bcbsnc to check if they got my packet and the lady said yes they approved it. I paused and asked again if it was recieved or did she really mean approved. She said i got approved for surgery ????????????????????????

They told me my paper work was not sent in yet! That's crazy, I will call my doctors office on Monday.

I have BCBS NC and it didn't take near that long for approval!
