Ive seriously been sticking to the diet and excersice and ive only lost 35 lbs since aug 4 what the heck?! I havent lost any weight in like 2 weeks this is so depressing everyone i know that has gotten the surgery is double or more the weight loss that i am. Its so aggravating. I feel like im just destined to be overweight forever. ???????? i dont know what else to do. I feel like when people see me they dont notice a change. Its embarrassing for me to see people that know about my surgery cuz i feel like theyre expecting to see me smaller and im still fat. I dont know what else to do. Sorry i just had to let that out. Im going through it right now.

Please have faith.

I know that's easy to say but hard to do. Don't give up.

The weight is going to come off.

Basic math says that it will. Burning more calories than you consume has to result in weight loss. This is one rule of nature than can't be avoided.

The human body is a very adaptable system and it may be doing some super-overdrive work to go into self preservation mode during the beginning stages, but eventually it will become aligned with the new diet. It thinks you are being starved, therefore it takes countermeasures.

Keep the Protein and healthy fats going in while keeping the calories low.....keep following your surgeon's plan. Try to raise your base metabolic rate through frequent exercise. Walking is great. Walking on a nice treadmill is even safer....the surface doesn't pound your joints like the pavement can plus the hand rails are always bonuses.

It's going to swing in your favor at some point.

I'm expecting to encounter some of the same challenges at some point throughout my weight loss attempts. I plan on staying in touch with my nutritionist and having her keep advising me. I was assured that the one-time fee I paid her is good for life. That may be the greatest bargain I've ever made in any type of dealings......the advice and guidance of a health care professional trained in the calorie war......to advise me for the rest of my life.

Hang in there. You've come too far to give up now.......it's going to swing in your favor. Don't give up.

Don't give up! You are not destined to anything! This is a process that requires a lot of faith and a lot of gumption and a lot of - and that sucks and it's hard, it's so hard, believe me I know! But you have to trust the process and stay with it - it's pretty beautiful when you land on the other side. And you'll have done it. Just you. Pound (and sometimes ounce) by pound. As general as we want to make this, this your journey - I was so impressed and envious that you lost 35 pounds in a clip and since August, that's great progress! I lost very slowly. I stalled a lot. I got frustrated but I never gave up. So I really get it and I hear you but keep going! To date, it's been 4 years and 4 months and I have lost 110 pounds. I exercise, I eat lean Proteins, I watch my sugar on my good days and I enjoy a few indulgences on the weekends. And I never lost 35 pounds like that! One day, you'll have your own story! Stay with it! Don't give up! You can do this!

What you are experiencing and feeling is very normal. You cannot compare yourself to anyone else. Every body is different and we all lose at different rates and at different times.

Embrace the Stall!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
