I use Jay Robbs unflavored Protein powdew. You may be able to find it local depending where you are, but also at jayrobbs.com. It has 26g of protein per scoop, and 110 calories. Love it in my Soups and cottage cheese.< /p>

:hungry:CHELE,

I just purchased a product online called Any whey. It claims to be virtually tastless. I comes with a small scoop that is equivalent to 17 g of Protein. I ordered a bunch of stuff, but have not triedthem all yet. I will let you know. The email address is Bariatriceating.com phone 888-777-4202. Good luck!

I found the ANY WHEY at my local GNC, but it is not an isolate whey product, and that's all my DR. will allow me to take, he says it's the one that's absorbed by the body the best. Chele, you may want to ask your DR. if you're allowed the concentrated Protein powders.< /p>

I didn't even think of that. I guess i should ask. I do know that they want us to increase our protein...i did order some whey isolate off of ebay. I think the unflavored stuff should be okay. Thanks eveyone.

Beneprotein can be added to food and has no flavor. That is what my doctor recommends. Good luck

I use isolate total whey Protein powder (one scoop is 25 g of protein) mixed with 1/2 cup soy milk is another 5 g protein. Add a few blueberries or strawberries, half banana and a tablespoon of milled flaxseed.....need a good blender. It comes out great...don't need any sugar and it has none of the terrible artificial sweeteners that are in most low sugar, low fat Protein Drinks. You will love it...guaranteed.

I got some unflavored from bariatriceating.com. I do not know the name off the top of my head, but it is the only unflavored that they have. Good luck!

I just tried someting called Designers whey that I bought from my local GNC. Its not flavored and I added it to my chicken flavored cup of noodles Soup because I'm trying out the pre-op diet. It clumped up a little (I think I mixed it wrong) but it tasted just like chicken.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
