redsohare 3 Posted October 14, 2015 Hi all... 7 days to surgery date, and my bf proposed last week! Yay!! Of course, the moment you announce an engagement which stops the "when are y'all getting engaged?", the question is "when is the wedding?" Since I am getting my sleeve surgery next week, we are trying to make sure that we time the wedding enough post-op to not cause too many issues. For those of you who have had the surgery, do you think that the process of losing and planning a wedding might be a bit too much? We were thinking about a year or 1.5 years from now. I think that from a weight loss perspective, the bulk of my loss will happen by my 1 year surgiversary, correct? I'm basically looking for recommendations on if you think 1 year is long enough to wait, or if it should be a little longer.
Elode 8,093 Posted October 14, 2015 @@redsohare I Waited 5 years so I'm not the one to answer that. You can plan the wedding just don't buy a dress!
glitter eyes 1,398 Posted October 14, 2015 If you are thinking about having the wedding approximately a year to a year and a half after your surgery you will be fine!! By that time most of your weight loss will have occurred and your stomach healed so you can partake of some of your yummy wedding food.< /p> One of my best friends just got married last weekend and she is 15 months post op!! Congratulations!!
newmebithebypass 713 Posted October 14, 2015 my wedding took 1.5 years to plan and pay for so just be prepared for that we had a small 70 person family only wedding and had the reception at my house and it cost 15 grand so if money is going to be an issue for you i would wait two years
