Gethealthy2016 17 Posted October 13, 2015 Called the hospital yesterday and am scheduled for Wednesday! Going to see if I qualify and fill out paperwork. Did you all take someone with you to your first appointment or go solo? I'm not sure what to expect. Going to Riverside Hospital in Ohio.
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted October 13, 2015 It depends on your needs. If you have a spouse who you will want as your support person, it might be helpful to bring hem along. Take a notepad and take notes.
chuck415 89 Posted October 13, 2015 I second the notepad advice. May also want to write out all your questions beforehand as you will be hit with a lot of information and your mind may go blank, as mine does lol.
newmebithebypass 713 Posted October 13, 2015 I brought my husband to my first appointment and he knows the diet I'm on and keeps me accountable
Gethealthy2016 17 Posted October 14, 2015 Thanks guys! My hubby can't come unfortunately because he has to work. However I was thinking of taking my step mom. Just wasn't sure if I would need to be "examined" and if so, bringing her would be incredibly awkward!
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted October 14, 2015 The consultation should just be an informational session. Just remember that goes both ways. Make sure you inform them of all your medical history and any meds you are taking.
