Lap-bandit 0 Posted August 12, 2007 Hi Sleepbudman, $7250. That does not include your airfare (if needed) or the hotel. He does have a website at Lap Band Surgery, more than 2,500 successful procedures.. Hope that helps
mylap-band 0 Posted August 13, 2007 I still haven't seen anybody mention how much it is for Dr. G. Please let me know thanks.. Hi sleepy give Laura a call 877-247-2263 if Dr G is not in surgery you can talk to him directly, if not his right hand man in clinical management Dr. Valenzuela will give you all the information you need. annie5 0 Posted August 13, 2007 Good for you all that are on their way! I'm still doing my research. Can any one that has gone through the first month with the band tell me about their experience with their liquid diet? It sounds easy but I'm not much of a liquid person, I drink very little fluids as it is. So that is the one scary thing for me. Good luck to all and keep us posted! maddy1969 0 Posted August 13, 2007 Please excuse my question but I'm new to all of this and I ran accross this thread, why do you need liquids before the lap band? I keep reading about liquids before, can someone tell me why? I've read most of the posts here and this doctor Gonzalez sounds good but I still don't see why you need liquids before the surgery. Thanks for reading.
christine yng 0 Posted August 14, 2007 Congrats to all newcomers!! Maddy the liquids before the surgery are so your liver shrinks and the doctor has a better view when putting in the band, I also found out it helps to get you used to the diet you'll have after your surgery, it worked for me. I've been doing well, I had an episode of what I've read to be described as "Pb'ing", I may be wrong, but it felt like what others on this forum have described, I got a little worried and called Laura, I spoke with Dr. Gonzalez and he explained it to me, I think I gulped down my lunch a little too fast. I got worried because it hasn't been a month yet. I'm ok now, still losing. I've been experimenting with food and I guess I may have gotten too confident. I may be going for my fill. All that are going to Dr. Gonzalez for surgery soon, I wish you the best and I'm sure everything will turn out very very well, maybe I'll get to meet someone from this board. Love you all!! onenonly 0 Posted August 16, 2007 Anyone that can help me? I'm calling doctor Gonzalez, but before I do can someone give me what you think are the most important questions to ask. I have notes, but would like some input.
Lap-bandit 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Annie- I found the list - I did a search for it and found it right away. I am going to today to pick up a few things so I don't have to rush around right before I leave to get the stuff. I want to find a loose fitting dress to wear home. I have a long flight, so I don't want anything cutting into my waist. Thank you!
