I would say there's a bit of a problem if that were the case.

Definitely not my experience. Is there a reason for the question?

Yes I'm 8 weeks out and haven't loss 1 single lb n 3 weeks. I know there's a stall but this is a bit scary. I know gov Chris Christie from NY has the surgery done and he still looks pretty much the same. I don't want to end up that way..

What's your height and starting weight? Lower BMI's often lose slower. How many calories a day are you eating? Do you work out? How about meeting your Protein goal? What's a typical food day look like for you? What does your doctor/NUT say about this?

Chris Christie (from NJ) had the lap-band surgery.

I am 5 weeks out from being sleeved and had a 1 week stall. If I was in a three week stall I would be carefully journaling all food and would meet with my nutritionist to review my food journal and discuss options.

I saw on a previous post of yours that you have already received lots of feedback about this.

If you follow the program, you will lose weight. You do have to follow the program and be patient. Weight loss is not instant and if I remember correctly, you started at a relatively low weight to begin with. The worst thing you can do is compare yourself to other people.

I am going to ask you the most fundamental questions because I don't have any idea what you are doing.

Are you getting in all your Protein and Water every day?

Are you tracking your food (weighing and measuring everything)?

Are you eating Protein first?

Are you eating slowly and chewing your food thoroughly?

Are you avoiding starches and highly processed foods?

Are you avoiding high fructose corn Syrup?

Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements as directed?

Are you exercising?

Have you talked to your NUT or surgeon about your concerns?

If you answered yes to all of those questions, then just be patient.

If you answered, no, then I suggest you make an appointment with your bariatric team for advice.

Best of luck. Worrying and driving yourself crazy with anxiety won't make the weight come off any faster. Everyone loses at their own rate.

Breakfast- 1 egg , cheese

Lunch- tuna

Dinner- turkey

I don't eat much but when I do it's usually the stuff above, also aguacado and yogurt.

I started at 195 and now I'm 175 been like that for 3 weeks.

As for Water no I don't have 8 cups a day. I have 4 on a good day.

I don't work out, however on weekends I clean my 2 story house and I do break a lot of sweat.

I would say first off you aren't eating enough and you aren't meeting Protein goals. I would add at a minimum an afternoon snack something like yogurt with a bit of fruit and a tsp of flax or wheat germ sprinkled on top would also address the Constipation issues you previously mentioned. I would look into something like the the Isopure nocarb drinks or Syntrax nectar to help increase your Protein and Fluid intake. I would also try walking for at least 15 - 20 minutes a day. Exercise helps jump start your metabolism and appetite.

I would also call the doctor. Still having trouble eating at 8 weeks out is not a good thing.

ETA: If you can tolerate it. I would even add a tiny bit of spinach to that 1 egg. Spinach had Vitamin A, K, folate, Fiber, Iron and protein. I would also add a tiny bit of Protein powder to the the afternoon yogurt. That would increase your protein intake.

In my opinion, until you are able to get in enough Protein and Water, the last thing you should be focused on is the number on the scale. You need to eat and drink like it's your job. Getting in my Protein and Water was and is my primary focus, and I don't go to sleep at night until I get it all in. It's a challenge but you have to do it.

Please make an appointment with your NUT and surgeon immediately. You are risking dehydration and malnutrition.

Were you by any chance self pay? Unless you have other medical issues, co-morbidities or are extremely short a starting weight of 195 doesn't seem like it would qualify for surgery. If that is the case, I would google online for a bariatric handbook. I would also call my primary doctor and get some bloodwork done and/or have them follow up on the nausea and discomfort you are experiencing after eating.

You should take advantage of it and call your NUT. Have her review your progress.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
