Daveo 485 Posted October 10, 2015 I'm 7 months post op and for the past month I have woken up three times by extreme nausea and then throwing up. I don't have anything before bedtime so I don't have a full stomach. Nothing comes up other than clear liquid. Last time it happened was yesterday at 4am. Does anyone else go through this? SleeveMe247 184 Posted October 10, 2015 I'm going through this now and have been hospitalized five times since my surgery on 9/4. They never know the cause and keep putting me on meds, but finally they are thinking it may be my gallbladder. I should have results tomorrow after a scan they ran on my gallbladder today. But definitely talk to your doc and go to ER if u need to. You can get dehydrated easily from not being able to hold down liquids. Good luck to u!
Guest Ms M Posted October 10, 2015 Daveo, Sounds like it might be acid reflux, does the liquid you bring up have an acidic or bitter taste? If it is i'd go and get it checked out.
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted October 10, 2015 It could be acid. Are you on a PPI? I would call the doctor and get it checked out.
4MRB4PHOTO 3,900 Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) Since you aren't eating my wife's cooking , then maybe they should be checking (as previous posters wrote) for too much acid, acid reflux, gallbladder, etc.. Is there a pattern on when this happens (you ate food higher in fat, drank too much regular coffee, a very emotionally stressful day, etc.)? I hope they find the cause soon. Daveo 485 Posted October 10, 2015 Thank you all for your comments, I'm going to make an appointment with my doctor and see what it is. I don't take any meds and I don't think it's what I'm eating but I'll see.
