Hi Ya'll :)

So....I am having surgery soon (the next 4-6 weeks) and am trying to get my ducks....

um, I mean my drugs, in a row ;)

I take many prescription meds and now I will also need to add the Vitamins and supplements after surgery.

I was looking at chewable options but they all seem gross.

So I was thinking of going the liquid route.

Are there any brands you love? Any you hate?

What are your secrets to life post-op, with the constant need to take these supplements?

Thanks bunches!

Have a blesses day!

liquids are just as gross if not more so than chewables and much harder to find, plus much more expensive; especially considering how much we are requested to take everyday until we die.

The other important factor is not taking your multi-Vitamin (with iron) and Calcium citrate two hours apart. Also buying B12 that is no sublingual, and I found ones at Wal-Mart for $2.88 that hardly have a taste and dissolve quickly.

For my Multivitamin, I take Centrum chewable orange burst flavor ordered from Amazon. I don't mind it.

For about the first week, it was a bit uncomfortable to swallow my Calcium pills from Walmart because they're so big. I tried Wellesse calcium liquid from Amazon and thought it was gross. I decided I'd rather take the big pills.< /p>

My B12 is a small cherry flavored sublingual tablet from Walmart. It dissolves under the tongue and I don't mind it either.

After about one week I was able to take bigger sips of Water. That's made my supplements and other meds no problem.

Ditto the advice about taking the Multivitamin two hours apart from the calcium. My nut has me take the multivitamin and B12 at the same time, then three calcium tablets in 2 hr increments cause she says you can't absorb all the calcium at once either.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
