I HAVE NO IDEA what to reallly make and how to separate my food with my families food. can someone help me find where to get good recipes for this amount of protein and what meals i can find to make for my family when we eat together... how do i portion out what im supposed to eat and my family's food. i want to do this right so for many reasons but i really dont have anyone to help me that has been through this before having their surgery... Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted October 9, 2015 I am not sure what your question is. You can easily get in that amount of Protein eating six times a day if you eat meals of 20-25 grams of Protein and Snacks of 5-10 grams of protein.
Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted October 9, 2015 How far out are you? A Protein Shake should have approximately 25 grams so two of these a day, Snacks roughly 6-10 grams; cottage cheese, yogurt, fish, meats.< /p> So your day could easily add to 70 grams and more
Fat2Slim4Me 12 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) I am 6days post op and jviruet330 I feel your pain. If you are like me you are still on liquids only. I am able to get in about 2 1/2 to 3oz at a time then I have to wait at least an hour to two to drink more. I was advised yesterday to try a morning shake with double Protein. My chocolate powder is 24 protein per scoop to 8oz liquid. I was told to try 12oz of skim milk (12pro) plus 2scoops of powder (48pro) and that would give me 60pro in 12oz. I am going to try it and see how it works. Ready for pureed foods, I think it will be a little easier then. Hang in there we can do this. ????
