brinag 1 Posted October 8, 2015 I have done everything now just waiting I have nothing left to do been calling every week. What did every one do to make the time go by faster
LoseItKacy 347 Posted October 8, 2015 I did what you did. I constantly called lol. Then one day they told me I was approved and they through a big ole BUT at the end of the good news. Apparently my approval was sent in the mail. And they couldn't schedule my surgery until my hospital had a letter of approval. And that took longer than the approval itself. But trust me. Once the wait is over it's worth it. I can't believe I'm a week post op already. I thought it was forever and now I feel like the 7-8 month process went by so fast! Best of luck!!! Namaste6 82 Posted October 8, 2015 I did the same - the poor receptionist memorized my number. They actually gave me a date BEFORE my insurance came back. But I still called to to check up on insurance. My biggest thing I did while waiting (other than calling 24/7) was research. I also had fun tasting different Protein shakes and Clear liquids. I even made different recipes of purees and mashes to see what I liked. Kind of exciting, but sometimes nerve-racking when you realize that you are going to be eating mush for a while... Hang in there! The call will come soon!!!
brinag 1 Posted October 8, 2015 All they keep telling me is that the department head is looking it over to make sure I have everything done. Then it goes to the surgeon and he says ok then it goes to insurance. All I know is I am so nervous I can barely stand it
wileyns 16 Posted March 4, 2016 My insurance company somehow had my paperwork in the wrong department so I had to call for weeks to figure out where it was. Once they found it, I was approved the next day. If you are unsure of the progress of your paperwork I would call to check on it because if I didn't I probably would still be waiting.
