Where are all the single cat ladies?

Recommended Posts

So I am starting to believe they are a myth! I have been on dating sites and most women have dogs or don't like cats. WTH? where are all the single cat ladies that I always heard so much about? I'm a single cat guy so it's obvious that a single cat lady is my match. haha

Don't give up. I am both a dog and cat lady and my second husband was a big cat person. Eventually we added four puddies to our family.

I must admit, when the marriage ended, I missed the cats way more than him...

I'm a cat lady! Maybe you could volunteer at a pet shelter. I know some single cat ladies that do so. :)

Only problem with that is I'd want to take them all home! lol

@@Daveo not sure if your still on here but did you know that cats and dogs can actually get along. Once they get to know each other of course. All i hear is that your an animal lover. Thats always a good thing.

Yeah I found that out, I'm staying with my sister and her family and they decided to get a dog and for a couple of weeks it was a bunch of hissing lol but now they can care less about the dog.

We're here! We're just content with our kitties! I personally have just about given up hope of meeting a cat-lover man...I do love dogs, so I wouldn't mind having dogs, since most men seem to want them. But I'm not giving up my cats and I don't date guys who don't like cats. Sooooo it feels like the dating field is very small (plus add in non-smoker, smart, decent looking, considerate, and it gets REAL small lol).

Instead of finding a woman who likes cats, I'm just going to get a female cat. At least I'm not terrified to approach a cat.

I'm a single lady with four fur kitty babies of my own, three kitty siblings next door with my mom (we share a duplex), and we share custody of two abandoned fat cats that the neighbor left when she moved out. (She's supposedly picking them up, but she's been saying that for two months now). Add to that my three kids and we've got a duplex full of animals! Lol! Ding give up hope. There's a cat lady out there for you somewhere!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
