anewme2016 7 Posted October 6, 2015 Getting close to my surgery date - October 19th. Is a blender necessary for the different stages of the post-op diet? What one would you recommend?
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted October 6, 2015 I use a blender for my Protein Shakes. I find an immersion blender works best to keep the shakes from getting foamy. I used a mini food processor for purees.
Yaberhoo 358 Posted October 6, 2015 I also have an immersion blender. Much easier to clean, etc. Mine came with an attachment for a mini food processor.

Elode 8,093 Posted October 6, 2015 I never did use one. With what little I ate I got through the purée/ mushy stage on refried bean, ricotta cheese, and soft foods like that. It couldn't hurt to get one.

BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted October 14, 2015 A blender makes it easier, but no it's not necessary. I had a nutra bullet long before WLS, but I like to cook and have a bunch of appliances and gadgets.
