So glad I'm not the only one, I honestly thought I was. I talked to a girl who is 2 weeks ahead of me and she says she's having no problems.

I am a only a week out and I thought I would be fine with Protein and water....Wrong!! I am already having problems with Protein Drinks (yuck)! And yes sipping Water all day it is hard to get suggested amount. Glad I am not alone! Will keep trying as I want to get back to "normal" daily life.

I was able to get in 24 oz yesterday, so happy and hopefully I can keep doing more. I can handle doing more than sipping now which is helping. I can take a couple gulps so it goes a bit faster.

You don't start off getting in all 60 gms/64 ounces. You slowly work up to. The goal is to keep at it until you get there. A year out I still use the isoprene teas. I split one bottle up into 3 or 4 parts and add it to my Water. My water bottles are 24 ounces and my goal is to refill it it at least 3 times. Just keep sipping. As you heal you will be able to take in more and more.

When I am having problems with the Water and Protein thing, my solution is the Syntrax nectar flavors, diluted with extra Water. The're more like juice and not milky like most Protein shakes. I especially recommend the Fuzzy Navel (sort of Tang-flavored), Pink Grapefruit, and Roadside Lemonade. Mix them with room temp water, then add ice or chill them for a bit.

Are the Syntrax Nectars a weird texture like the Isopure clear fruit drinks in bottles? Thanks

I have never had the isopure, but I haven't noticed a texture. They're basically like cloudy Water. Like I said, I dilute them a bit more than they request -- make them with 16 oz Water instead of 8-12 oz.

Thanks! Iso pure is to me is like thin Gelatin and leaves little pieces of goo in my mouth. I will definately try syntrax:)

That sounds gross. Nope, not like that at all. Now, if it's not shaken up well, the nectar can have clumps, but it mostly blends really well, especially if the Water is not too cold.

These are my absolute favorite Protein drinks. I have the Cappuccino over ice every morning for Breakfast, and keep the single serve Lemonaide, strawberry Kiwi, Fuzzy Navel, etc... in my desk at work. I like that they mix easily with water!

I to am tired of my drinks and don't know how to get my Proteins in for the day. Would you be able to tell how much Protein do we get when we eat each of the listed foods?

If you use an app like MyFitnessPal, you can easily look up the protein content of your foods. How are you tracking your food/protein intake?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
