I am finally at onerland!

Recommended Posts

I have been stalled for about 3 weeks at 200-201.5. Today after walking all weekend at fall festivals I finally hit 199.6!!! I graduated high school weighing about 190, so it has been about 20 years since I have seen the one on the scale!!! I had the sleeve done on June 15, 2015 and my pre surgery weight was 260. I have lost 60 lbs in 3 1/2 months. I have already gotten rid of all my clothes and am amazed that I am wearing size 13/14. Before surgery I was wearing 22. I am on cloud 9 right now and am celebrating tonight with another walk and maybe I can talk my hubby into a back rub!!! Picture is from my daughters graduation May 15 and then this weekend.post-255575-1444049610124_thumb.jpg post-255575-14440497155864_thumb.jpg

That's amazing! So happy for you. I'm in a bad place right now. Had surgery on August 11,2015. I was 280 day of surgery...I am now 243.5. I have been 243.5 for over a week now. I'm frustrated...sad...and missing food so bad that I cry all the time. I'm Italian and used to be a huge pasta...bread....cheese person. Yesterday my husband made an amazing sauce and I sat there as my family made yummy noises and ate my favorite things. It didn't bother me before this stall but now I'm miserable. I exercise 6 times a week...35 minutes on the treadmill at 3.2-3.5 and then lift light weights for 15 minutes. I don't know what to do. I just cracked into my kids candy for the first time...tiny bites of butterfinger and babe Ruth. It was glorious...I'm waiting for my stomach to explode or do something. I'm so depressed.

I was stalled for about 3-4weeks at 201.2. You will get there. I had to up my food intake a little, and I stop pushing my self so hard and when I kinda was like whatever, it happened. I know how you feel but don't give up. Just think about the new healthier you!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
