So, I am starting this at 46DDD. Ugh. I have surgery a week from tomorrow and am distracting myself from my nervousness by going through old clothes that haven't fit in awhile, getting them ready to be worn again sometime soon! The one thing I don't have in multiple sizes is bras.

Ladies - how did you handle changing band sizes? Do I need to plan on buying new bras often or resign myself to the uni-boob of sports bras?

I went from a 44DDD TO A 40DD. I still can fit my 44 DDD on the sides it supports the under arm flubber but the cups are sad, but not a real big issue. You will probably be ready to downsize in 2-3 months so just be prepared I have not resorted to the unibra as of yet I just bought 2 because I had 2 that were too tight before and now they fit perfect. I found some inexpensive Bras at wally world $10 so worse case scenario while you are in transition buy a cheap one or two. Don't be in to much of a hurry to find the right size cause you are still losing and you may lose it faster or slower but you are not at goal and don't want to get to comfortable in these temporary sizes.

I started at a 46 DD, I'm now about a 40/42 C. First I was able to wear some older bras that no longer fit. Now I just buy 2 reg. bras, 1 sport bra and handwash them. Bras coast too much to buy more than that when you are losing.

I'm down 63 pounds and I'm still wearing my original bras. I haven't even moved from the last hook, so I'll be wearing these for awhile longer. So you may not have to replace bras as often as you're thinking.

I am 10 weeks out and have gone from 44DD to 38D. I bought one bra when I was down to a 40 not even thinking I would need to go down a bra size again so soon. I was lucky as the sales are on here and got a nice decent bra at 80% off.

I am still good on bras for now. I am almost to the point I need to get some new ones and go down a band size.

I am going to give these a shot, since they come in 2 packs and are cheaper. http://www.simplybe.com/bras/all-bras/icat/allbras

A good bra can take 10lbs off you, so its not the place to skimp when you want to look good in clothes. I will just only buy 2 at a time until I get to a stable weight.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
