Attention Southern California (OC) Banders!

Recommended Posts

I'm a personal trainer and a lap band patient. I got the band in 2010 and have lost 200lbs. I am looking for people i can support and work with. I did not have anyone who worked out with me, i had to learn on my own. I dont want that "alone" feeling stopping any one from working out. Im here!! Please reply if you need any support, or tips or schedule a free session. This is not about money, i have a career. Personal training is helping me continue my journey as i help you!

Hi there... Am I to late? Lol... How's it going there in OC? I am in Copenhagen, Denmark. I work out with Krav Maga, TRX and Boxing four times a week. And I ride about 15 km per day. I struggle to eat properly though and to get adequate nutrition.. Had some hair loss which scared the crap out of me so I am really focused on Vitamin... I take a daily berocca and give myself a monthly Vitamin B shot. Losing weight pretty well ... Getting stronger every day... But I would love to do a catch up with a PT who actually has a lap band. So much to share and ask advice on

What do you say?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
