I need suggestions on low carb crunchy Snacks. I love the noodle crunchies that come with egg drop Soup but I know they have too many carbs. Suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I found Quest has Protein potato chips at GNC 21 grams of Protein.< /p>

Parmesan cheese chips:

Pour a heaping tablespoon of Parmesan onto a silicone or parchment lined baking sheet and lightly pat down. A silicone baking sheet is highly recommended. Repeat with the remaining cheese, spacing the spoonfuls about a 1/2 inch apart.

Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden and crisp. Cool.

I like these A LOT! Just be sure and stick to the listed serving size on the back of the pack.

They're so good, it's waaaayyyyy to easy to overeat on them - even though they are low calorie. :-)

I tried the Quest Protein chips too -

@@joatsaint - you beat me to it... I love the sugar snap crisps... They come in black bean flavor too. Trader Joes has both kinds.

22 crisps for 120 calories and 5 g Protein. I eat and good for at least two hours.

Cucumbers! I slice them thick, hit them with a dash of lime and a bit of hot sauce. Crunchy, spicy and nearly no calories. A cup is 16 calories.

I bought some falafel-flavor roasted chickpeas this week--they are awesome! More carbs than some might want, but a lot of Fiber and a decent amount of Protein.< /p>

I second the Mr. Cheese-Os!! I found them at a super target. The cheddar ones taste a lot like cheez-its!

I slice zucchini very thin. I lightly brush the slices with olive oil and salt and bake them on a cookie sheet (lined with parchment paper) until they are crispy. They are delicious!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
