So, I had the GB almost a week ago. I've been really trying to get all my fluids in and everything and I feel alright but my tummy is SUPER full. Is this normal? I last took a sip of Vitamin Water like an hour ago and I still feel full. Is something wrong with my pouch? I'm a worry - wart..

Don't worry, it is normal. It takes a while before your tummy can even tolerate everything they ask you to.

Just sip when you can.

Yeah, I am 3 weeks out and I can still only handle 2-3 tbsp of food or a little more drink at a time. At my first week, I was 1-2 tbsp.

I feel full all the time- I think it is the gas inside stomach cavity but maybe not- I feel uncomfortably full all the time-- I am sipping as much as I can tho--

I know this is late but like others said I think this is normal. As far as getting your liquid in, it helps to drink warm liquids. This has been my Godsend! I brew a bit of herbal tea and cool it down with Water and I can drink really quick! It does not make you feel as full and uncomfortable.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
