Pillar2butterfly 391 Posted September 30, 2015 Funny thing happened today...someone at work, who doesn't know about my surgery, told me I needed to buy some clothes that fit me because my pants were so baggy. I laughed and said "Thank you! That's a very nice thing to say..."
The Candidate 3,215 Posted September 30, 2015 Those are the best kind of comments, aren't they? The ones that come out of left field, totally unexpected. That little ego boost can just make your day. I'm so happy for you. Congrats!
Pillar2butterfly 391 Posted September 30, 2015 LOL...you are right The Post Op...I'm not sure how she meant it, but I took it as a compliment!

_telia_ 10 Posted September 30, 2015 I just returned to work this week, I am a teacher. I am down 31 pounds from the last time my kids saw me, 3 weeks ago. They keep complimenting my hair or my outfit. They know something has changed but they can't place it yet. I catch them staring at my badge picture and then looking at me. Pillar2butterfly 391 Posted October 7, 2015 Another triump! This weekend I took my 14 yo daughter shopping for her first homecoming dress. She wears a 13/14. So she tried on a couple dresses at Boscov's. Found a nice silky and sheer overlay blue one...on sale from $70 to $9.99....was a tad big, but worked for her...it was a 16. We continued to shop, but I bought it just because I couldn't pass the deal up...and I told her I would be able to wear it one day (pre surgery I wore between 22-24). She ended up getting a different dress. I took the blue one and tried it on and IT FITS! A little tight in the chest, but not uncomfortable! I haven't been able to fit a 16 in anything for over 18 years! I still can't fit 18 pants (because I'm all butt and hips), but hey, I'll take it as a triumph! I was wearing it dancing and prancing around the house chanting and singing "I fit a 16! Oh yeah...I'm the queen!" My husband and daughter rolled their eyes laughing along with me.
