From 1st Consult to Surgery - how long?

I feel exactly the same way regarding the six month supervised weight loss. I completed mine in december followed by four weeks of dietician counseling regarding my diet following lapband surgery. I have been approved by my insurance company and am waiting for my consult date with my surgeon at the end of the month. My surgery will probably be scheduled in mid to late april. Since I started the process in June of '07 I will have waited a total of ten months. I wouldn't want to do it any differently. I used every bit of the time to educate myself regarding the lapband and to make sure I could make the changes that would be required to be successful.
